The largest three-phase power transformers in Romania
Energotech replaced the two 24/415 kV 440 MVA main output transformers for Cernavodă NPP Unit 1, restoring redundancy and increasing supply reliability.

  • Removal of existing transformers and relocation to final storage
  • Installation and on-site assembly of new units
  • Integration with existing protection, command and monitoring systems
  • Reinstallation of on-line DGA monitoring and Sergi fire protection systems
  • Oil filling, electrical testing and commissioning 

 

Completed in only 24 days, during the planned outage of Unit 1.

Our teams installed all electrical systems for MACSTOR200 modules 12–17, ensuring continuity and safety for the spent nuclear fuel interim storage.

  • Power supply, internal distribution and grounding systems

  • Coordination with general contractor and commissioning ahead of schedule

We are also responsible for next phase of the project comprising of higher capacity, MACSTOR400 modules in development for a 10 year period.

Energotech designed and commissioned a seismically qualified emergency power system ensuring uninterrupted supply to critical nuclear consumers (U0).

  • Integration of 2×1675 kVA and 2×110 kVA diesel generators, mobile pumps and mobile transformer stations for Units 1 and 2, and 1x1800kW diesel generator for Unit 0
  • Full design, seismic qualification calculations, installation, configuration and testing
  • Commissioning and operator training under nuclear safety protocols
  • Installation of independent seismic-monitoring instrumentation (IEEE 344-qualified) with redundant triggering logic for automatic reactor protection
